Winter Solstice Blessing

Posted By Susan on Dec 21, 2018 | 4 comments

The Winter Solstice, and the winter season in general, is a good time for looking inward. Maybe spend a few moments in silence today, or say a prayer of gratitude for the dark as well as the light. It’s also a time to listen, watch and honor the slower and quieter rhythms of the season. On this shortest day of the year, and the beginning of winter, I hope you find a few minutes to get cozy, perhaps light a candle and have a cup of tea. And as we move toward the new year ~

~ May you feel grounded to the energy of the earth.

~ May you find time for that which you are passionate about.

~ May you find the inner strength to notice your fears and know the warrior that you are.

~ May you feel the abundance of love that is in your own heart and that surrounds you—from your Spirit Guides, the Universe, friends and family.

~ May you be true to yourself and have the courage to speak your truth.

~ May you trust in your intuition and inner wisdom.

~ May you feel deeply connected to the Universe and tap into the Divine guidance that is available to you.

Happy Winter Solstice

Peace

Work with me

If you would like some support moving into this new year, please contact me and we can talk about how we might do that together.

What else I’m up to

~ Books: I am reading “Walking Each Other Home, Conversations on Loving and Dying” by Ram Dass and Mirabai Bush, “Essay” by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and “The Paying Guests” by Sarah Waters.

~ Recently, I had the honor of creating a sacred space for, and sitting with, someone very close to me while they died. It was a privilege to be with him for this transition. As each death does, this one affected me deeply.

~ I am appreciating the early nights, the crisp mornings, the quiet moments with my husband and dog, and the preciousness of every single day.

With love and light,

Susie

  1. Happy Winter Solstice. Thank you for your thoughts on the coming year. Sorry for your loss. Sitting with someone as they transition is a very loving thing to do and a gift to both you and the person transitioning. Happy New Year (in advance)

    • Mary Ann, I wholeheartedly agree. Sitting with someone while they transition is a gift to both people. There is so much love surrounding that moment, and I felt grateful and honored to be present. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
